Bright ideas competition How it works

How it works.

Taking part in the Brightideas.today bright ideas competition and prize draw couldn’t be easier, and it may even help make the World a better place! Click here to go to the the Brightideas.today Ideas Competition control panel.

SUBMITTING YOUR IDEA(S)
If you have an idea that could improve life for anyone or anything in your area, your region, or for the whole world you can submit it here. It will then be displayed on Brightideas.today for subscribers (free trial and full) to view and vote on. The five that get the most positive votes (highest number of stars/smiley faces*) will be taken forward to a final. This will then see another vote to decide on an overall winner**.

The one with the most votes in the final will then be supported. The plan for doing this will depend on the idea itself, but may include arranging meetings, construction of prototypes, publicity campaigns, etc. We will do everything we can to help that idea become a reality.

There is no minimum age requirement for the submission of ideas, but where the person submitting it is under 16 years of age, contact must be via a parent or guardian (and they should be named as contact on the entry form). You can submit ideas here.

PLEASE NOTE:  Ideas submitted may not breach our usual editorial policy in any way. Ideas that are deemed likely to cause offence, or disadvantage others, will normally be rejected.

VOTING FOR IDEAS
You can also benefit from other people’s ideas. If you see one or more that you like, you can vote for them. Everyone that votes, will be entered into our prize draw to win a great prize. You can view and vote for as many or as few as you like. Each vote can be rated from one to five, allowing you to show how much you like each idea. As Brightideas.today is about positivity voters can’t ‘vote down’ ideas, but if you see one you don’t like (and we hope there won’t be many of these), you can choose not to vote for it at all of course. You can view ideas and vote here.

IDEA OF THE DAY
Each day our daily edition will feature an idea chosen at random from those submitted with an option to vote for it, there will also be a link to the other ideas on the main site.

PLEASE NOTE: Ideas submitted and displayed on the site, do not reflect the views or opinions of Bright Ideas 365 Ltd or it’s representatives. Where an idea is considered by the editor to be liable to cause offence, it will not be published, but if you do see an idea that appears to not be in compliance with our normal editorial rules, you can report this to us at ideascompetition@garryw9.sg-host.com

* Ideas are assessed on the amount of 5 star/smiley faces they receive as a proportion of the ratings they are given (i.e. how many 5, 4, 3, 2, and, 1 ratings they receive). All ratings, including one star, count towards the total. So if there is an idea you do not like, don’t vote at all. A one star vote is still a ‘like’.

** The ‘final’ will be a straight vote for one of the finalists per subscriber, multiple voting will not be possible in the final.
